 I founded Black and Even in 2015 with a view of building an environment that was friendly, warm and welcoming. A safe place for friends and families to come for the best possible experience. Over the years, our team has become a family, one I’m proud of. It’s a home from home full of laughter, music, friends and most of all; like minded artists with incredible talent. I love my job and I’m honoured to be part of it. 

Hello, I'm Matt.
Your friendly neighbourhood tattoo artist! Specialising in illustrative, dark work, graphic/dark portraits and botanical tattooing. 
 
I like to use a lot of traditional influences mixed with graphic styles to create "dark traditional-esque designs"
As much as I love skulls and weaponry,  I also really enjoy delicate floral work and wildlife. Huge love for gaming and pop culture so bring on the Lord of the rings, Star Wars, anime and gears of war tattoos!

I spend my days at Black and Even bringing a little sparkle (and sometimes a needle) to people’s lives. I’m a qualified piercer and a tattoo apprentice, learning how to turn ideas into beautiful art you can wear forever. Whether it’s a piercing or a tattoo, I love helping people walk out the door feeling confident and totally themselves.
