INTRODUCTION TO BODY PIERCING

Our piercing course offers a comprehensive introduction into body piercing at our award winning studio.

This course has been designed to allow beginners to gain the skills and confidence required to become a professional body piercer. The course offers an innovative learning experience, providing students with the highest standard of 1:1 training in a working tattoo and piercing studio in the heart of Kent.

Guided through a 4 day intensive training course in a zero pressure environment, students will gain the knowledge, technical skills and confidence to enable them to take their techniques into the world of piercing, either on their own or as an employee in a studio.

The course covers all aspects of piercing techniques and demonstrations on both prosthetics and volunteers, piercing and studio equipment, supply routes, business advice and by-laws.

All students will need to gain satisfactory theory and practical knowledge in order to pass the course and obtain a certificate of completion.

The course is 4 days long and runs from Wednesday to Saturday.
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be fully trained in all above-waist body piercings (excluding microdermals).

Students will also come away with a good understanding of:

• Studio hygiene
• Purchasing stock
• Correct jewellery sizing and placement

All successful students will receive an official certificate of completion and a unique discount code to use with Studio 18.

During the first two days of the course, we will go through all of the theory work behind body piercing including all aspects of health and safety and how to prepare for and safely perform each body piercing.

Students will then perform simulated piercings in preparation for practical body piercing. 

On day three of the course, students will have the opportunity to perform practical piercings on volunteers. We will photograph all of the piercings you perform, so that you can build your own portfolio and have some photos of you in action!

Black & Even will provide all volunteers to pierce as part of the body piercing course. You will not be required to bring your own models or pierce each other.

On day four of the course there will be more opportunity to pierce volunteers, followed by a written theory test in the afternoon.

After successfully completing our body piercing training course, we will provide you with a comprehensive list of suppliers and advice on ordering materials and equipment.

The full cost of the course is £550, and a non-refundable deposit of £125 is required upon booking to reserve your place.
The remaining balance of £425 must be paid on or before the first day of the course.

Any cancellations made within 10 working days of the course start date will be subject to the full course fees being paid, as we would incur a loss, which could have otherwise been prevented if sufficient notice had been given.

If you wish to switch your place to another course date, please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best and accommodate your request.
